A trip to San Diego

On Friday we took a long, long trip down to San Diego to see Steve, Lisa, Jake and Guinness. I say long because the trip that normally takes us less than 3 hours took 4:30 hours!! Needless to say the traffic was a bit bad on the 210! It was a long trip but it was worth every minute of it once we got there and I got to hold my little boy!!

When we got there everyone was out for their walk so I went ahead and took Mr. B for a walk down to park. He had been so good the whole trip even though he didn't feel well. He gets car sick when we are in stop and go traffic and he threw up again on this trip. If we are just driving along he has no problem but stop and go gets him every time.

Once they got home from their walk it wasn't too long before Jake decided it was time to go to bed so we didn't see much of him the first night. We did get to sit around and talk to the parents and play with the dog so it was all good.

Here is Mommy with Jake. He had just finished eating his squash and carrots here. Contented baby. He loves his food!! He is no longer in the 90% in weight and height but he sure looks like it!! Those cheeks add at least 5 pounds to his total weight! They are soooo kissable.

There were a lot of changes in him since we saw him 2 months ago. He is playing with toys a lot now. He loves to look at this one as it has a mirror on the bottom and he loves to look that that handsome boy in the mirror. He laughs and gets all excited when he sees himself.

He really interacts with people now. Making all kinds of cute faces and noises.

I spent lots of time just holding and playing with him!! Of course while I was holding and playing there was a green eyed monster hanging out by my feet wanting to know that I still loved him lots and lots!!

On Saturday we ran some errands and went out to lunch. Here he is with his new hat looking so fishermanish!! He is playing with Grampa's hand here. He thought his arm and hand were pretty neat!! Pulling the hair on the arm was particularly fun!!

Saturday bath time!! He loves the water.

We took the dogs over to the dog park on Saturday evening. Beardsley just loves going to the dog park. He has great fun with all the dogs there. It is much smaller than the one we have here but big enough that it wore Mr. B out!! He slept great that night.

Here is the happy family (minus Guinness who was out exploring). Steve has that "growl" look on his face. " Are you really taking MY picture?" Silly boy of course I'm taking your picture again!!

All in all a great time was had by the three of us. It was so good to get down there again.
