Stress Buster!

Guess who got a new toy!!! Paul has wanted to get into electric RC helicopter flying for sometime now and finally took the plunge a couple of months ago. He started out with a little one and then moved up to a mid size electric helicopter a couple of weeks ago. He is spending a lot of time out in the garage working on them and having lots of fun.

Here is the larger one the day he got it. Does he look like a happy camper or what?!!? He took it out to the garage and started it up and it was loud and scary! He called me out to see it and I wanted to get on the other side of the screen door! He can't fly the large one in the garage but he plays with the small one inside when it is too windy outside.

Here he has the small one outside in the backyard. He is getting pretty good with this one.

When he first got it it spent a lot of time like this... upside down or broken!! He hasn't ordered parts for almost two weeks now so things are getting better.

He took the large one out into the backyard today for the first time. He has been taking it over to a park in Newbury Park in the mornings. He needs the extra space because of the size. The backyard really isn't big enough to fly it much. Good thing he likes to get up early as he gets over there before the park gets to many people in it and before the wind starts up. He can't fly in any wind as it just knocks the helicopter around too much.
He is having so much fun with them it is fun just to watch him. What I like best about it is the fact it is a great stress reducer!!! He no longer comes home from work but keeps his mind at work. Now he comes home and out into the garage and when he is done he comes in with a smile on his face. How great!!!!! I guess I could now call myself a RC Helicopter widow!!

Trip to see Grandchild #10!!!

We went down to San Diego this past weekend to visit Jake Anthony and his parents and "brother" Guinness. We found out that everything was going great down there. The new parents seem to be adjusting quite well to their new JOB!
I can't remember back that far but it seems like way more work than when I had little ones! Could it be my age and not that it really is more work?

Here he is sleeping in his port-a-crib in the family room. We couldn't believe how much he has grown and changed!

Here he is in Daddy' lap just looking around and being happy. Will you look at those cheeks!! It is a good thing they didn't name him Alvin! (chipmunk for those of you that haven't watched Alvin and the Chipmunks four hundred times in the last month like I have!!)
Talking to Daddy. Can you tell how much he is loved? You can't even see Daddy's eyes but you can see the love in them.
Checking out Mommy. Wondering when lunch time is I bet!! The last doctor's visit he was in the 90% in height and weigh so you know he is getting enough food!! You can see Guinness trying to get into the picture too. Wish I had waited until he sat down to get the three of them. Wait, I just reread this post and I found a mistake! I said I wish I had waited for Guinness to sit down. What was I thinking about? Guinness sitting still? I don't remember that happening!! Guinness seems to adjusting quite well to the new little attention stealer.
Grandpa and Jake
Listening to Mattie saying all kinds of silly things!! I wasn't prepared for how old he had become already. I was surprised when he watched me and made noises back to me and the wonder of wonders Smiled!!!

Mr B wondering if I still loved him!! After all he is the one that is supposed to get all the attention!! His eyes were a little "green" this weekend.

Now I haven't written about Grandpa's newest obsession and I will wait for another post to tell you all about it but I will say that this is where he sat most of the weekend. He went over to a hobby shop near Steve and Lisa's and picked up a new "toy".

Three Pictures of the most wonderful Jake Anthony

Grandpa, more pictures?
Smiling at Daddy
Laughing out loud. Won't be the last time he laughs at his Dad!!
He seems to be a perfect blend of Mommy and Daddy. Sometime when I look at him I can see one and then I can see the other. All in all a wonderful little package!!
